Katherine Dornian

A native Calgarian, Kathy Dornian is a nationally respected pedagogue, chamber musician, adjudicator and examiner. She earned a Master of Music Degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Education and Kodaly Diploma from the University of Calgary. She is a long time faculty member of the esteemed Mount Royal Conservatory in Calgary where she has built a reputation as an accomplished teacher and accompanist. Kathy is also a visiting professor at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, China. 

Kathy has served as senior examiner for The Royal Conservatory for over 20 years. Her travels have taken her across Canada and the United States. She is an ardent supporter of The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program.
