Former Music Coordinator for the Peel District School Board (PDSB), Mary Ann Fratia has taught instrumental and choral music for over 30 years in the PDSB, Toronto District School Board, and in Manitoba, including numerous leadership roles. She has created and taught pre-service curricula for York University, Ontario Tech University, Ryerson University, and OISE/University of Toronto, as well as authored and taught numerous Music AQ/ABQ courses for OISE/University of Toronto, York University, and now The Royal Conservatory of Music.

Mary Ann is the recipient of many awards, including Honorary Life Membership in the Ontario Music Educators' Association (OMEA), and continues to consult on various music programming for TVO Kids, adjudicate music festivals, and contribute to OMEA's official journal, The Recorder.
