Monica Gaylord has pursued additional studies at the Aspen Music School and The Juilliard School. She has appeared as a soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, National Arts Centre Orchestra, and Victoria Symphony, and has been featured on many radio and television broadcasts. Monica also released a recording, Black Piano – A Treasury of Works for Solo Piano by Black Composers, on the Music and Arts label. In addition, she performed on the New Piano Series and Celebration Series recordings for the Frederick Haris Music Co., Limited and coauthored the Student Guide Workbooks for both series. She has also presented several teacher workshops on piano pedagogy. A member of the American Federation of Musicians, Monica has been a Conservatory faculty member since 1986.
