Early Childhood (Smart Start)

Ms. Struik is a musician, educator, arts and outdoor enthusiast! She has sung in choirs, competed in competitions, and has recorded and performed with a variety of ensembles and orchestras. Coming full circle where her musical journey began (piano), she returns to The Royal Conservatory of Music.
 
Ms. Struik is a certified Smart Start Teacher and Lois Birkenshaw-Fleming Scholarship recipient. Degrees earned include B.Ed., (Queen’s University),  B.Mus., (Wilfrid Laurier University, oboe, James Mason), and M.Mus. (University of Toronto, early music performance: baroque oboe, John Abberger).
 
It is her honour to share the past and present stage with the Faculty and Staff at The Royal Conservatory of Music and Oscar Peterson School of Music community.
