Hailed as "the world's most famous brass group," Canadian Brass joins the Toronto Concert Band for an evening of brass at its most exhilarating. Since 1970, this legendary quintet has thrilled audiences from Carnegie Hall to stages around the world, earning its place among Canada's great cultural ambassadors with a signature blend of virtuosity, warmth, and irrepressible fun that ranges from Baroque masterworks to Dixieland, ragtime, and Broadway.
Over the course of the evening, the more than 80 musicians of the Toronto Concert Band, from dedicated amateurs to working music professionals, who have made music together every week since 2014, take the stage alongside the quintet, each ensemble shining on its own before the two come together for music written for full band and brass quintet alike.
