Course Description
This Suzuki Teacher Training course covers Unit 1 of the Suzuki Cello Repertoire Books, dealing with how to set up a child with their instrument, and the basic bow and left hand techniques involved in Book One.
Students with work with a Teacher Trainer over an extended period of time as a resource person for help with their own class, and meet and develop contacts with fellow course participants. Coursework includes in-depth exploration of such topics as the Development of Musicality in young children and use of supplementary materials.
Specific topics covered include:
- Detailed study of the Suzuki repertoire
- The role of the group class in the Suzuki Method
- A study of Early Childhood Development
- Research into the Parent/Teacher/Student Triangle
- How to create musical motivation in the studio
- How to begin a Suzuki class

This class has a variable tuition depending on the number of registrants .Registrants must register for the full tuition amount of $1,350, and will be refunded based on the final number of participation.
