Workshop: Jazz Guitar - Up Your Guitar Game (Ages 14-19)

Course Description

Up your guitar game in this post-secondary audition training workshop

Daily sessions from 2:30-4:30 pm.

This hands-on workshop will focus on repertoire (jazz, blues, pop etc..) scales, modes, chords, ensemble playing, theory as applied to improvisation and practice techniques, to help students gather the necessary knowledge and skills for university and college entrance auditions.

During this five-day summer program students will learn practical application of intermediate jazz guitar techniques.

Minimum Requirements: Ability to play basic open and Barre chords for guitar, read notation, and play basic major/minor scales. Students should able be able to play a few basic songs of various styles.
