Violinist Boris Kupesic has performed extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia. A native of Toronto and graduate of the Royal Conservatory with professors Yakov Geringas and Jascha Milkis, he credits much of his successes to the wonderful experiences he acquired at the Royal Conservatory early on in his youth. Boris is also a graduate of Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, having studied with professors Valentin Zhuk, Nelli Shkolnikova and Mauricio Fuks. From 2006-2010 Boris was Assistant Concertmaster of the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana housed in the Palau De Les Arts in Valencia, Spain under the music directorships of Lorin Maazel and Zubin Mehta. Since 2010, Boris has made Toronto home again, having the privilege to perform with such ensembles as the Toronto Symphony, National Ballet of Canada, The Canadian Opera Company and Esprit Orchestra as well as maintaining a vibrant studio of wonderful pupils.
