Calvin Tsang is a violin teacher with experience over a span of 20 plus years, teaching students of various ages and levels. As a professional violinist, he has been featured as a classical soloist on radio, TV, and in various settings. Starting lessons at age of 8 with the Suzuki method, he quickly garnered awards and honors, including Concerto winner & soloist with Austin Symphony at just age 14, Concertmaster of Texas All-State Orchestra only as a high school freshman, winner in Texas French Symposium music categories in the same year, and 1st place in multiple All-State/ All-Region Orchestra competitions. After completing Bachelor & Master in Violin Performance degrees at Northwestern University, he performed with various renowned orchestras including San Diego, Virginia, and Charlotte Symphonies. After moving to Canada, he has performed in various local orchestras and maintained an online and in-person teaching studio.
