Patricia Boril

I am an experienced piano teacher who equips students with the skills and knowledge whereby they may enjoy music for a lifetime. My teaching style is positive and encouraging, while still maintaining high standards of musicianship and education. Students are taught piano technique and theory, as well as how to build their personal repertoire in order to be a well-rounded musician. Some of my students have continued on to study music in college, others are using their music in the entertainment and music production industry, and others simply play the piano for their own enrichment and enjoyment. Music is a language of sounds and symbols, and I strive to help students become fluent in the beautiful language of music! I primarily teach in the student's home, and have been a traveling piano instructor for over 40 years. I also welcome online students. I offer private or group lessons, and host annual recitals and group piano ensemble concerts. I am the founder of the Chicago Piano Ensemble, a varied group of pianists at all levels and ages, who perform throughout the United States. I have been a church musician for 50+ years, as well as a wedding musician, a choir accompanist for church and schools, and a professional pianist performing at various venues for special events. I welcome students of all ages and abilities!
