Roman Soltys

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Roman, and I am a violinist and violin teacher from Ukraine who is currently residing in Ontario, Canada. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Academy, Ukraine. The Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Academy is the oldest Ukrainian higher music educational establishment and one of the oldest in Europe. At one time, Franz Xaver Mozart joined the establishment of this Academy. He lived and worked in Lviv for more than twenty years. He is the son of the genius Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Prior to receiving my PhD, I took part in multiple orchestras and toured major cities of Europe. After I received my PhD, I decided it was time to venture out further. In 2017, I received a position of Assistant of Concertmaster in Kunming International Philharmonic, China. This is a large professional symphony orchestra, which was created on the basis of Kunming Professional College of the Art. Shortly after, I also accepted a teaching position at Kunming Professional College of the Arts. My PhD degree is legalized and translated into Chinese. I can teach middle-and high-level students. I speak Ukrainian, English, Polish and Russian.
