What is Fusio Jam Session?
Fusio Jam Session is about playing in a band. It’s taught by guitarist, Bill Parsons. There are two types of bands: All Instruments and Guitar Group. In both, Bill teaches the art of ensemble playing, i.e. how to play in a band. By fusing the musical personalities (and abilities) of the players, each band discovers its unique way of performing songs, this is Fusio.
What’s covered in the class
Integrating creativity and musicianship, Fusio bands interpret a diverse repertoire suitable to the players in the band. Participants learn how to play more effectively and expressively as they explore their role in the band.
Using staff & tab notation, chord charts, lead sheets, and lyrics, students focus on 'groove', balance, accuracy, and listening, as well as melodic and harmonic expression. Listen, react, interplay, and explore.
If you are interested in registering for this Fusio Jam Session for Teens, please contact Bill Parsons at [email protected] for more information.
NOTE: New students will be required to submit a playing demo for the purposes of placement. Further details will be provided by instructor Bill Parsons one week before the class start date.
