COVID-19 Update: Examinations and Programming

Published on March 19, 2020

The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance and The Royal Conservatory fully supports social and physical distancing.  As a result, please note the following:

For those students across North America participating in the RCM Certificate Program, we remain committed to completing all examinations for Spring and Summer. However, examinations booked in late March and April will be rescheduled and we will provide options to parents and teachers by March 31, 2020. Please monitor this webpage for information.

With regard to The Royal Conservatory schools:

  • The Glenn Gould School is closed to in-person instruction for the remainder of the academic year and has moved instruction to online platforms.
  • The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists (Taylor Academy) has suspended in-person instruction until April 13, and is also moving to online instruction.
  • All classes and programs at the Royal Conservatory School (RCS) remain suspended and are currently scheduled to resume on April 6.  Note that for both the Taylor Academy and RCS, we will continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of public health officials.

All concerts and events scheduled through April 23 at Koerner Hall, Mazzoleni Hall and Temerty Theatre have been cancelled or postponed and our building is currently closed to all visitors.  Please visit our Concerts page for more information.

We will provide further updates on this page as this developing situation unfolds. For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19, please visit any of these public health websites:
